When I was a kid, we always had a functioning darkroom. My dad would be churning out scores of Christmas card photos and I would be running the chemicals. I have never been without a camera. I see the world more clearly when I have the possibility of getting the shot. My photography is all over the map. I have no one style. Sometimes the environment leads me; how can I capture this light, this plant, this feeling I have when I look over this landscape. At other times I plan ahead; what would it look like if I blended multiple exposures of the same object from slightly different viewpoints into one image? Photography is different than most art forms. The painter starts with the blank canvas, the sculptor with the block of stone. The...
